Carlos Update

So Carlos has not had surgery on his Hernia. The details are a little unclear to me. Here's what i know for sure. This past week he was taken to Doctors without Borders where they were told that his hernia was not serious enough to require surgery. After he went back to the orphanage he complained of a stomach ache & had a fever.

I got an update today that he was feeling much better.

WATER!!!

I just got word from one of my team leads that says "Praise God there is water flowing from the well at the orphanage." SOOOOOOO AMAZING! There were so many issues with water last week! All the little girls had to carry heavy water from quite a ways away!

Interesting how I thought coming back to the U.S. Would be the easy part.WRONG.Please pray 4 me & everyone who has come back...its VERY hard to leave those kids

Just landed at SFO :) Can't wait to sleep in my own bed!!!

Flight delayed :( We won't get to SFO till after 11pm :( Lonnngggggg day. Rachel, Bryce, Avari, & I r playing cards. Corben is being a poo pants & not playing.

Sitting all alone on the flight from Haiti to Miami :( I feel like I was just barely on this flight coming here.Aw sooo sad to leave.Can't wait to see my hubby!

Chillin in the Port Au Prince airport. I can't believe this is over. I just spent half a month in Haiti. WOW.

Last night in the "Haiti Hotel" haha. Not too excited for the crazy long traveling tomorrow. We fly out at 12 & get to SF like 1030pm!

Heading back to Leogane. Its completely dark :( what an evening :) I LOVE HAITI :) :) :)

We are at an extremely nice restaurant in Petionville! Culture shock! Weird that all the other people here are whities :(

My roomie Rachel&I just decided we all smell like a combo of urine,sweat,&dirt.sounds awesome right?Goin to P.A.P 2moro my "buddy" is 6'4 so I think im safe!

This morning was sad. Im starting to realize that Im leaving. Mama(my fav lil lady) told me to take her home. I cried

After Mama said that I cried & walked away. Some of the little girls came & got me & walked me back.

Super fun day! We took all the kids to the beach today :) No words can explain how much I LOVE these kids. Im REALLY sad I have to leave soo soon :(

I learned earlier this week that A)There are over 600 orphanages in Haiti B)Some high%of kids have living family membersC)No one adopts these kids.HEARTBREAKING

Awesome day today! A 13 yr old Ricardo tells me he loves me everyday :) We went & got sugarcanes & he cleared the path 4 me & peeled it 4 me. Soo sweet :)

Happy 4yr Anniversary to Rodrigo & I. Our 1st apart :(

PRAY-I have to take Charley 2 the doctor everyday 4 a shot.Caleb gets 1 every other day. For the water situation-doc says kids r getting worms & fungus from H2O

#2 I wanted to go home!With a lot of prayer&advice I made it through.God REALLY blessed me today with "peace that passes all understanding" 2day I LOVE HAITI

Haiti is BEAUTIFUL.Sitting here w/no distractions(like anyone who speaks english)listening to praise music....really makes me appreciate the beauty around.

Please pray 4 our a/c to work! I know it may sound petty but the a/c when u sleep at night is INVALUABLE in this heat. Its out right now so im awake :(

We had an awesome day in Port au Prince today. Saw soo much devstation :( Please pray 4 us to get home safe. We r out @ night & we aren't supposed to be.

Please pray for Jocylen. She is 8. She has some type of vaginal infection & today there ws blood in her urine. We r tking her to the doctor for the 3rd time.

What an amazing day we had! There was such a sense of peace & bonding today. I can't believe I only have 1 more day with this group:( 2moro we say our goodbyes

Success!every1 got treated@the hospital 2day!no scabies its heat rash!1kid is 20lbs underweight :(Every problem can be cured & we got LOTS of meds!Keep praying!

We're having an awesome time here! Amazing kids, fabulous team, & a very real & present God! It seems simplicity is the key to life :)

Well we survived our 1st day :) It took us 2hrs to drive 20miles...the good news...we had a vehicle to take us! Haiti is different then anything I ever imagined

We made it safely to Haiti, got through customs, got our bags(CRAZINESS) & we r now riding in the back of a box truck for 2hrs to Leogane. Its pretty hot :)

Here's my last free United States update! Sorry the other one last night was out of order. I'm on the biggest plane I've ever seen! Alright well we're off!

Well we made it safely to Miami! In 1 hour we will be headed to Port au Prince!!!
